AS A WRITER, my passion is absorbing reams of source material, then re-explaining it in interesting and innovative ways. While I can write short, snappy slogans, I thrive on longer assignments. The longer and more complex the project, the better I like it. Catalogs, websites and annual reports are my favorite assignments. Drilling deep into a concept, working with interesting people, then organizing data into a useful and accessible form is my idea of fun.

AS A PHOTOGRAPHER, my experience in journalism taught me to shoot quickly and efficiently. My background in construction allows me to understand what you need and why.

WHY A CHESS PIECE as a symbol? There was a 1950s TV show, Have Gun, Will Travel. Richard Boone played Paladin, a hired gun with a sense of honor and a heart of gold. Paladin’s business card featured a knight from the game of chess. The original paladins were the 12 peers of Charlemagne’s court, and were widely renowned for heroism and chivalry. According to Wikipedia, a modern paladin is known as the defender of a good cause.
